Leire was a CCC senior for the 2020-2021 school year. She was admitted to the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She will study Biomedical Engineering.
Congratulations, Leire!
What do you look forward to the most about studying in the U.S. and at your university in particular?
I am really looking forward to meeting a lot of new people with the same interests as me.
What is the best memory or experience you have had during your years as a CCC member?
As I am from Pamplona, I have had all my CCC meetings virtually and I do not really know my mates. However, my best experience has been meeting my American Writing Mentor. She has not only been very useful for improving my essays, but also she has been a friend to share my thoughts about college life with.
What has being part of the CCC meant for you? How has it helped you?
I have reached my dream of studying in the US thanks to CCC. The US admission process is really complex: paperwork, essays, finding your fit…CCC has prepared me excellently through the process and helped me with everything I have needed.
What would you say to the students who are going to start being part of the CCC next year?
Start as early as possible (writing all of your essays, taking the SAT & TOEFL exams, etc). Trust me, it is better to have everything done before you are running out of time and overloaded with schoolwork! You don’t want to leave out applying to some universities because you haven’t had enough time.
