We share a free two-part webinar series hosted by ABRSM on Monday 2nd and Wednesday 4th November, open to students and families.

The sessions are aimed both at students hoping to study music and at strong musicians who want to study something else but keep playing, whether as a minor or in ensembles. Monday is opened by the former Associate Dean for Enrolment at Juilliard, covering applications and how to prepare for US auditions, with Northeastern University providing a focus on musical theatre too. Wednesday is opened by admissions staff from the University of Rochester, looking at the role music plays in a holistic application, which is especially relevant for students who plan to major in a subject other than music. Each session also includes US universities that recognise ABRSM qualifications talking about the opportunities they offer music majors and non-majors, followed by a live Q&A.

Universities taking part include:

Eastman School of Music

Indiana University Bloomington

Washington State University

The University of Michigan

University of Maryland

Northeastern University (Musical Theatre)

Westminster Choir College (Rider University)

The University of Rochester.

Both sessions are on Zoom at 3:30pm UK time, and you can register here:
