Flights to Madrid

If you are participating in London’s USA College Day and traveling from London to Madrid, please note that there are many flight options on a number of airlines and London airports, with flights a times as often as every hour. We recommend paying close attention to which airport you will be flying out of, as there are 3 airports serving the London area.

The airport serving Madrid is the Madrid-Barajas International Airport.

Transportation in Madrid

From the airport into Madrid, recommended options include:

Ride Shares

  • Uber and Cabify both operate in Madrid.
  • We do not recommend taking an Uber from Madrid Barajas airport into the city, bus and cab options are easier to locate at the airport. Taking one to the airport is fine however.
  • Within the city, both Uber and Cabify can be ordered and arrive within minutes.
  • There is a suburban rail that leaves T4 and it will take you to the city center.
  • Ticket 2.60€
  • Aprox. 20 min from city center to airport.
  • Fixed cost from the airport to the city is 33€
  • Aprox. 30 min from city center to airport.
  • Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to our designated meeting point for program events.

All non-group transportation expenses are the responsibility of the passengers – EducationUSA cannot pay for transportation to or from the airport, fair venue or to or from the school visits unless riding with the pre-arranged group transportation.
